Associate Member Manager

Location: London
Reporting to the Business Development Director, the Associate Member Manager will be responsible for managing the Associate member programme and engaging in strategic dialogue at a senior level within the membership to ensure continued satisfaction and retention. This will include;

  • Facilitating and building relationships with and between all members

  • Identifying Associate members requirements and concerns and addressing these

  • Ensuring LiMo Associate membership satisfaction levels are high (per membership survey)

  • Measure and ensure contribution levels by Associate members to LiMo are consistent and of a high quality

  • Ensure demonstrable value is obtained by each Associate member such that membership renewal is very high (Target TBC)

  • Productive leveraging of the existing membership to drive new member recruitment

The role will entail the strategic alignment of the Associate member’s commercial agenda with that of the LiMo Foundation, to create industry wide convergence onto the LiMo Platform.

THE PERSON
It is anticipated that the successful candidate will display the following attributes:

  • Can operate effectively within a global matrixed virtual structure

  • Possesses high levels of commitment, energy and career ambition

  • Ability to work on their own initiative and autonomously

  • A creative thinker

  • International in outlook, and able to effectively contribute in business scenarios, whether they take place in Asia, North America or Europe, and is able to undertake significant international travel to fulfil the obligations of the role

  • Possesses mobile industry experience with an understanding of the mobile ecosystem

  • Demonstrable track record of achievement in mobile sector sales and business development

  • 5 years plus relevant experience in the mobile industry, possibly business development or partnership development

  • Excellent relationship building and management skills

  • Experience of running programmes for globally distributed groups

  • Experience of working within both large and small company environments with a range of funding and business models

  • Outstanding project management skills

  • Most comfortable working within a progressive, dynamic environment

  • An understanding of software/hardware mobile device manufacturing or networks

  • Appreciation of the industry standards environment

Marketing Manager

Location: London
Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Marketing Manager will contribute to all aspects of LiMo’s marketing activities including;

  • Programme management; contributing to the management of marketing dashboards, plans and meetings for the LiMo Marketing Committee and core marketing teams

  • Act as primary interface for Public Relations agencies in Europe and Asia-Pacific regions.

  • Identify collateral requirements, driving development of core marketing materials and the writing/editing of white papers and positioning documents and presentations

  • Contribute to and manage execution of marketing strategy that incorporates ‘web 2.0’ assets including blogs, search-engine optimization, syndicated content/RSS and other emerging technologies.

  • Act as interface with web development agency, managing updates and web assets

  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining calendar of events for LiMo participation and consideration

  • Coordination with PR agency on speaking submissions and management of ‘Speakers Bureau’

  • Act as primary coordination point for all conference activity and to manage external resources

  • Responsible for management and manning of LiMo stand at events

  • Maintain database and communications with marketing contacts within member companies (e.g. product marketing and PR)

  • Work with Business Development Director, Associate Member Manager and Membership Administrator as required

  • Own marketing database

THE PERSON
It is anticipated that the successful candidate will display the following attributes:

  • 5 -7 years marketing experience preferably within the mobile industry

  • Strong media relations experience – including tactical knowledge as well as pre-existing relationships with media influencers in mobile industry

  • Working knowledge of emerging marketing technologies and practices, including blogging, podcasts/webcasts, syndicated content and RSS Feeds.

  • Can operate effectively within a global matrixed virtual structure

  • Possesses high levels of commitment, energy and career ambition

  • Ability to work on their own initiative and autonomously

  • Demonstrable writing and communications skills

  • A tangible history of driving marketing activities such as public relations, tradeshow/events coordination, collateral and website development and management or coordination with external marketing agencies

  • Ability to coordinate and manage marketing programmes involving multiple parties within or outside LiMo

  • Ability to distil key notes and action points from team meetings

  • A creative thinker

  • An intellectual curiosity and desire to gain in–depth knowledge and domain expertise of leading edge mobile technologies

  • Hands-on with an international outlook, and able to effectively contribute in business scenarios

  • Able to undertake moderate international travel to fulfil the obligations of the role

  • Most comfortable working within a progressive, dynamic environment
