This will include; Facilitating and building relationships with and between all members Identifying Associate members requirements and concerns and addressing these Ensuring LiMo Associate membership satisfaction levels are high (per membership survey) Measure and ensure contribution levels by Associate members to LiMo are consistent and of a high quality Ensure demonstrable value is obtained by each Associate member such that membership renewal is very high (Target TBC) Productive leveraging of the existing membership to drive new member recruitment
The role will entail the strategic alignment of the Associate member’s commercial agenda with that of the LiMo Foundation, to create industry wide convergence onto the LiMo Platform. THE PERSON It is anticipated that the successful candidate will display the following attributes: Can operate effectively within a global matrixed virtual structure Possesses high levels of commitment, energy and career ambition Ability to work on their own initiative and autonomously A creative thinker International in outlook, and able to effectively contribute in business scenarios, whether they take place in Asia, North America or Europe, and is able to undertake significant international travel to fulfil the obligations of the role Possesses mobile industry experience with an understanding of the mobile ecosystem Demonstrable track record of achievement in mobile sector sales and business development 5 years plus relevant experience in the mobile industry, possibly business development or partnership development Excellent relationship building and management skills Experience of running programmes for globally distributed groups Experience of working within both large and small company environments with a range of funding and business models Outstanding project management skills Most comfortable working within a progressive, dynamic environment An understanding of software/hardware mobile device manufacturing or networks Appreciation of the industry standards environment

Open Source Manager
Location: London The Open Source Manager will possess a combination of commercial and technical awareness gained within an Open Source, possibly Mobile context, and be able to demonstrate significant experience of engaging with Open Source communities, with a solid understanding of Open Source licensing, business and legal issues. You will possess a strong background in Open Source software development and be willing to undertake infrequent international travel, approximately once per quarter. You will ideally have exposure to, or have worked alongside the Open Source mobile movement and therefore be familiar with the GStreamer Multimedia Framework and GTK User Interface Toolkit, as these will be two key points of external communication and liaison. The role will see you acting as Vice Chairperson of the Open Source Committee, and your primary responsibilities within the role will be to drive compliance in accordance with all relevant Open Source requirements in liaison with the Open Source Committee, and to ensure a strong bi-directional flow of innovation between Open Source communities and Consortium members to minimize the risk of forking of the Linux code base being developed, which takes place on a global scale. Highly desirable would be experience of code scanning tools such as Blackduck, and previous experience of setting up or driving an Open Source compliance programs.
